Flood Chronology of the Carson River Basin, California and Nevada

July 1875

Heavy rains during a summer convective storm on July 25 combined with bare soils from logging in King's and Ash Canyons, caused severe flooding in those watersheds. Carson City was inundated with floodwaters from King's and Ash Canyons, and one location on Carson Street on the west side of town became a shallow lake for several days.
