New Year 2006

Rain/Rain-on-Snow Event

Widespread heavy rain began the afternoon of December 30, 2005 and continued until mid-morning of December 31, 2005. The National Weather Service Minden precipitation gage reported over 2 inches of rain. Widespread flooding occurred throughout the Carson River Basin including tributaries in Carson Valley, Carson City and the Dayton Valley area.
