August 1958
Summer Convective Storm Event
On August 16, 1958, an intense thunder storm moved over Eagle Valley and the surrounding mountains and produced a little over 1 inch of rain (U.S. Department of Agriculture, 1973). The storm caused flash flooding off of " C Hill" which was barren as a result of a fire on June 30, 1958. Floodwaters included a slurry of water, mud and burned material.
